At Solace Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., we are inspired by your words to continue as your reliable Hospice Care provider. It is such an honor to receive your appreciation. We will regularly update this page with testimonials from clients, patients and their family members.
Thank you for joining us and guiding us on my father’s final journey. It was comforting having someone who understood the stages of dying process. Nurse Barb was amazing and her patience with my father allowed her to gain his trust. We also appreciated the quick actions taken to have a priest perform the last Rites sacrament.
Thank you all and God Bless you all as you have very special callings in love.
Hospice is the very last place we expected to find happiness, but you brought the happy twice a week, every week, until the very end.
Thank you seems so inadequate for everything you did for Mom, and for us. You are the reason she was so comfortable in her last days, and pain-free in her last day. For that alone, thank you. For all the laughs, smiles, movie recos and Lemon Heads(!!), and for always suggesting things the minute before we knew we needed them, a thousands thanks.
And for being more than just a hospice nurse (You’re stuck with me!), but a true friend, a million thanks.
If happiness can happen in hospice, it can happen anywhere… if you have Reette in your corner. =)
Dear Nurse Tina, Barb, Renat and Solace Team,
Your kind expression of sympathy will always remain in our memories. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Also thank you for your great care, but most of all thank you for being you, your friends
Dear Solace Family,
Our family is so grateful for all the care your stuff provided for during her time spent in hospice. Everyone who cared for her did so in the most loving, attentive and patient way. Your name truly implies what your caregivers provide.
Her funeral both sad, but a wonderful celebration of her long life, well lived in faith and service. A beautiful solemn Byzantine Ukrainian Catholic Mass with Services that were so new to her Midwest family… who never saw their Baba’s church, and the faith traditions of her previews 93 years of life she lived in her Connecticut home. we so loved that all 8 of her great grandkids were there to share this time and experience with us as well.
We will remember all your kindness, With thanks, love and warmest wishes,

I was informed by a friend I should interview Hospice Companies because they are all different. Unfortunately, I needed Hospice for my mom immediately. I took my friends recommendation and called Solace Hospice. With in minutes looking to Sasha ( the owner of Solace) she put me at ease and put a plan in motion for my mother. To All At SOLACE Hospice
During the past several months the care provided throu SOLACE for my wife, has been consistently excellent. Prior to choosing SOLACE for I considered several praviders. The knowledge, description of services, and passion for you Mission as presented by Sasha when we first met convinced me that SOLACE was the best choice for without question, I made the right decision.
As time has progressed, my confidence and faith in care team from SOLACE has been rewarded beyond what I could have initially imagined. From early January through mid February of this year became very sick with several health challenges, including pneumonia. The response from her SOLACE care team was immediate and thorough. The entire team rose to an even higher level to provide for her care and comfort, Co-ordinate with the likewise excellent care she receives from the staff at Autumn Leaves where resides, and maintain communication with me throughout that crucial time. I was preparing myself for the strong possibility (in my mind) that would not make it through. She certainly did make it! With the prayers of many, superire from her nurses and caregivers, as well as own personal strength-she lives on!
I know there are more challenges to come. When they do, I am confident that the SOLACE care team will again rise to the occasion and do all they can to provide for with the care, comfort, compassion, respect and dignity that is shown to -her every day, and 7 she deserves. Day after day you are there for her.
Thank you to everyone at SOLACE for all you do with and for for your co-ordination of effort and services with Autumn Leaves; and for your communication-and patience-with me. God’s Blessings to each of you!
Dear Kristine & to your entire Solace staff,
Words can not describe how unbelievable my heart is relieved that my mother passed away during her sleep. My siblings & I saw her the evening prior to her passing on Feb. 14, 2018 and she was so peaceful, pain-free, w/ no suffering at all which I feel maintained her dignity.
Your Solace mission is true to its name. My family & I are forever grateful for your outstanding & phenomenal care that you provided for my mother & are family. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
PS I will whole heartily recommend your Hospice Co. & staff to all my family, friends & healthcare resources. Thank you again.
We wanted to extend our thanks for your service(s). Our experience of working with all of you, while just 7 days, was very smooth and without any issues. All of you were very knowledgeable, patient and kind with our father (and us) during any discussions. Your turn-around time on commitments and same day deliveries were very much appreciated as well as your flexibility for visits and equipment pick-up. Providing resources to come to the house each day and direct access to our assigned resources via the phone worked out very well for us. We found ourselves having to reach out numerous times via the phone for input and assistance with medications. It was great not having to repeat historical information and everyone that we spoke with were current and up to date with details. Your communications and follow-up with your internal knowledge experts was expedited quickly and efficiently … even on the weekend … and that information was relayed back to us in a very short timeframe. Overall, our experience working with your team was excellent.
Thank you all for your services.
Sasha & team
Thank you for everything you did for ur Dad. Your team was so to our family’s needs. Everyone got to know him personally & I know they were impacted by his passing. Special hugs to Barb who was Dad’s primary caretaker you were awesome, also to your other wonderful and caring. We couldn’t have done without you.
With love from our entire family
I wanted to drop u a note to say what a wonderful & professional hospice company you have.
I have either spoke to or met in person the other ancillary dept’s ( Chaplin & Social worker ), & I can’t say enough how extraordinary your entire nursing staff incl. Hyeju RNNP, Barb, ur CNA’s, On-call nurse Johanna have been. The communication is phenomenal & whomever I speak to is so kind, caring & willing to listen to anything I say.
Thank u so much & I am 110 % confident, supported & reassured that we made the right choice for placing my Mother, on Hospice Services.
Thank you again.
Dear Solace Hospice Team:
Thank you for the loving and compassionate care which you showed my father and my family. At all times we were comforted in the knowledge-that we were surrounded by a wonderful team of medical providers and understanding staff, Hyeju Jang and Rhauddy Hizon are very knowledgeable practitioners; they provided excellent medical care to my father. The Solace staff members were always available to answer the phone and to forward my questions and concerns to the appropriate individuals for a prompt response. _ T took advantage of their kindness and considered them an excellent resource — I never hesitated to call when I had a question or a concern.
Beth Hyeju and Rhauddy, as well as Dr. Chhabra, were so sweet to my father and treated him with such respect. My father was quite taken with Rhauddy, and listened to him, following his suggestions/advice. Whenever we would invoke Rhauddy’s name in encouraging my Father to drink more water, my Dad would. comply. Additionally, Rhanddy quickly ascertained that my Mother was only capable of hearing a limited amount of information regarding my Father’s condition and his prognosis. Rhauddy tactfully navigated through this difficult terrain, as he did when my Father would pose very heart-felt but impossible questions to answer such as “Why am J still alive?”
Pat, the social worker, was exceptionally warm and supportive. She made herself available to me.as I struggled through my father’s transition.
The woman who came to the home to pronounce my father’s death, was also lovely. Fortunately, we had met her before, and she also had been so gentle with my father. I was glad that he was released to her caring hands.
Finally, I just have to add that in July or early August, we had tried the services of another, larger hospice provider. They were highly touted by Elmhurst medical professionals. We disengaged their services after less than two weeks. While the reasons for that termination are numerous, there are two huge factors that are worth noting. Yes, they provided a lot of glossy books and pamphlets. By comparison, Solace it appears directs their resources to providing necessary medications and top of the line equipment, such as an air mattress, to avoid the development of bed-sores. Second, the nurse practitioner and social worker of this other organization seem to give perfunctory examinations of my father, and did not inspire any confidence in their abilities.
I mention this to contrast it with the entire Solace Team. Everyone from the individuals who answered the phone to their medical director, Dr. Chhabra, demonstrated care, compassion, and medical knowledge that assured us that we were not alone in this very difficult journey.
With profound gratitude and appreciation
My wife who passed away on May 4th 2017 was under your care for approximately 2 months. During that time all persons involved did an excellent job. Request that were made for assistance with drugs, equipment or other support devices were handled promptly and delivered rapidly after request. Administrative requirements were also handled very well and clearly understood. The folder provided with logs and end of life conditions and expected reactions was very helpful. The reqular visits with nurses was handled very well and were able to explain conditions and provided ideas and help to comfort after her passing the closure process was made very easily, as the nurse made all calls and contacted the proper authorities to move Sally to the funeral home. The family was very satisfied with the entire process.
Through our times with you was short you gave my loving husband the most tender loving care. Rody I will never forget you as well as Barb & Danielle. The works you do takes very special people. I thank God for each of you.
God Bless You
May the Lord Bless you for your kindness.
